✨ Shaam-e-Baazgasht — Bengaluru Diaries ✨8th February 2026
This one did not roar —
It hummed…
It whispered — soft and sweet, kind and heartfelt.
Mumbai was about closure!
Kolkata — healing…
Delhi — nourishing…
And Bangalore…
Bangalore was about finding purpose!
The gathering was small, intimate, cordial. Shaam-e-Baazgasht has never been about numbers — it has always been about resonance.
A friend said —
“It’s better to have an interested crowd, than a bloated one!”
— and that made perfect sense!”
Resonating with fellow poets, writers, and Bengalis of Bangalore — so much so that my poetry brought Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore into the conversation:
“Sakhi bhalobasa kare koy,
Shey ki keboli jatonaamoy.”
Friends and attendees kept asking:
“This should happen more often…”
“When will this happen again?”
“When will the Kolkata edition happen?”
And yes — as an extension of the same — a tentative date for the Kolkata edition might be in consideration.
Wait for the announcements!!!
Some messages that came afterward reminded me why Baazgasht exists in the first place — one attendee wrote that the evening felt “profound,” and thanked me for being a voice for experiences of pain, unrequited love, joy, and healing shared together in one space.
Another one said —
“Humne suna thha lavzo mein moti jharte hai…
Aaj dekh bhi liya! “
Gratitude — always… 💕
Bangalore, you just gave me more reasons to keep on going!
